Learn the basic concepts and theories of Islamic Banking and Finance with ADD-ALL’s new course: ISLAMIC BANKING AND FINANCE.

This introductory course is designed to provide you with the fundamentals of topics on development and issues relating to Islamic banking and finance. In addition, you will also get to learn the elements of Islamic contracts and its pillar principles. The module for this course is modeled from the practices in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which is known for its innovative approach in the development of Islamic Banking and Finance in Asia.

At the end of this course you will learn:

1. To Compare and contrast the approaches taken by Islamic Banking with those
adopted by conventional western financial service providers, in terms of economic theory, financial services provision, banking regulation and the underpinning drivers;

2. To introduce the basic concepts of Islamic Banking and Finance applied logically and globally;

3. To simplify and explain the theories and concepts of the Islamic financial instruments used in the Islamic finance industry. This will give a practical exposure to the students on implementation of Islamic finance concepts in real life situations and especially in day to day management of finances for businesses in a Shari’ah compliant way;

4. To understand and analyze finance theories and concepts in the light of Islamic philosophy/Islamic Shari’ah and the mechanism involved in developing financial products;

5. To show appreciation of and have an overall basic understanding of the Shari’ah banking and finance mechanisms in an Asian perspective such as those imposed in the Malaysian context.

This 30-hour course is in blended learning format, meaning 50% of the class will be done online. This is the first ADD-ALL course that will be done in the blended format. This is in order to accommodate the busy schedule of our adult learners and to maximize the learning experience beyond what could be done inside a classroom.

The fee for the whole duration of this course is only 4,500.00. The class size will also be very limited to make sure the quality of instruction is sustained.
